My favourite time of year
I love everything to do with Fall. I love the colours, I love pulling out my sweaters and crocheted scarves, I love the crispness in the air. Fall means I’ve survived another summer with it’s heat and humidity, and it’s before the cold and damp of Winter.
Fall is the season of Thanksgiving! And spiced lattes! And the mad dash to crochet everything on my gift list for the holidays!
If I hadn’t been in love with Fall already, my 2008 trip to the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia would have turned me for sure. I was ahead of peak season by about a week, but I could supply with imagination the magic that would happen.
It was hard not to stop and take pictures after every corner I turned. I was warned at the gate about rutting season – that I should in no way stop if I saw a Man Moose, now matter how badly I might want to take his picture. They did not however say I couldn’t stop to say hi to Mama Moose or Baby Moose.
I also made a quick stop to stretch my legs at the MacIntosh Trail where I played with my camera to get this pretty shot
My trip was altogether too quick and it’s high on my list to return at the height of it’s glory.
Happy Fall Everyone – make the most of it!
